News From the Quidditch Pitch
Hello, Weekenders! This is your update on upcoming events as we continue celebrating quidditch season throughout the month of January.
Firstly, we're currently hosting a small giveaway in our private Facebook group that can also earn you house points.
All you have to do is go to our private Facebook group and follow the directions to share your best quidditch-related pics under the pinned announcement.
You have until noon (PST) on Saturday, January 23rd to get your entries in for a random drawing. Two winners will be selected
On Saturday we're also hosting an online trivia meet-up on Zoom at 8pm (PST). It's free to attend and open to all. We'll be breaking into teams to play Harry Potter Tops Trumps Quiz Game.
The Zoom link will be posted in the Facebook group and you will receive an email the day of, if you've subscribed to our newsletter before Friday, January 22. If you haven't yet subscribed look for the Accio Weekender Newsletter! block on our homepage.
During the Zoom game you'll earn points just for participation as well bonus points for the winning team(s) and wearing appropriately sporty wizard gear. So mix up your favorite potion and join us for a very chill trivia night!
Unfogging the Calender: A sneak peek at upcoming Hogsmeade Weekender events
The last week of January will be your last chance bring glory to your house before the points are tallied and a new monthly champion is chosen. Be on the look out for more daily challenges on our Facebook page as we get closer to the month's end.
Our theme for February is "Love & Lumos." One way we'll be celebrating is by paying forward lumos in our community. with a "card drive" to send Valentine's cards to local senior homes. More information will be announced as we get closer, but make sure you get to Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop as soon as you can and stock up on supplies.
The card drive will be an opportunity to BIG house points and entries into a drawing for a Love & Lumos curated prize box. If you're not familiar with our prize boxes, they're pretty magical. Each box is filled with unique #fanmade items and exclusive limited-edition event merch.
We'll also be celebrating Luna Lovegood's birthday (of course) and sharing lots of themed point challenges throughout the month. When you accio your newsletter subscription, (Accio Weekender Newsletter! block on our homepage) you'll never miss an announcement.
