Weasley is Our King Cake Cocktail

Who doesn't love Ron Weasley? Well book-Ron anyway (who is clearly the superior Ron). Join me in raising a glass (or two) to honor the birthday of The Boy Who Lived's best buddy.

First up is a cocktail inspired by the traditional King Cake (served during Carnival/Mardi Gras season) and Ron's Quidditch skills.

Which are actually pretty great, despite what the movie tells you!

Weasley is Our King's Cake: Harry Potter drink recipe

3oz Ginger Ale/ Ginger Beer

1oz Dark Rum

1oz Light Rum - He did have a moment of loving Viktor K(RUM) 1/2oz King Cake Syrup

For the King's Cake simple syrup, just add cinnamon and vanilla bean/extract into a simple syrup mixture of 1:1 sugar to water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes.

Combine in a tall glass and stir well.

Ginger Won-Won: Bonus cocktail recipe!

2 oz Bacardi Rum

1.5 Ginger Simple Syrup

1.5 Ginger Liquor

Top off with Ginger Beer

If you're going to do a themed drink based off Ron, you really need to go heavy on the Ginger. Also, I'm a sucker for the Won-Won nickname.
